Gaby & Nathan

Hear from bride and groom Gaby and Nathan on their experiences with us. They were looking to have a fun and relaxed wedding that all their family and friends could enjoy, and that’s exactly what we provided for them.

We give our couples complete freedom to choose their vendors and always go above and beyond to make life as easy as possible for them, especially when they don’t live nearby. Our team accommodated everything Gaby and Nathan wished for, even their beautiful dog Sassy. There was no stress, no hassles. Just a very special weekend.

Why did you choose The Gardens at Bullimah?

The moment we visited Gardens at Bullimah, we knew it would be a hard venue to beat. We loved the amazing gardens that were placed amongst a rural setting, giving it a spacious feel. It ticked the ceremony and reception ‘’all in one spot model’’ that we wanted.

We also felt that Jen, one of the owners who initially met with us, was very understanding of our situation of not living in Albany and what we wanted. We felt that nothing that we wanted was going to be too difficult to achieve. We also really liked that Gardens at Bullimah didn’t dictate the vendors we could and couldn’t use, as a few other venues we looked at did.

What did you like the most?

We loved the beautiful, green gardens and the feeling of open space the setting offers. The Gardens at Bullimah doesn’t feel like it’s only 15 minutes from Albany, it is so special. The team were also so easy and great to work with. They helped make the whole experience so wonderful and relaxed. Nothing was ever difficult for them.

We held our pre-reception on the lawn out the front of Potters Well as it was one of the larger pre-reception areas. It was great to have choice in that! The reception was in Potters Well, the most stunning reception centre. We were so glad that it was large enough to fit all our guests because we had a big wedding.

Which package did you choose?

We got the ceremony and cocktail package, but we added an extra night of accommodation so I could stay out there the night before the wedding with my bridesmaids. We then got to wake up to the beautiful hotel-like rooms and amazing gardens, along with enjoying an incredible Bullimah breakfast.

Any special mentions?

We really wanted to have our dog Sassy to be a part of our special day and The Gardens at Bullimah were more than happy to accommodate Sassy at the venue. Sassy was a part of the ceremony and pre-reception and we loved having her there.

Your thoughts on your experience with us.

Thank you so, so, so much for helping us have the most incredible wedding. You were so amazing to work with over the last 10 months, always quick to answer any questions I had and always seem to have a way of working things out.

From the first moment at Bullimah, we knew it was where we wanted to get married! Not just because it was so beautiful, but mainly because of how warm and friendly you were on our first meeting and how accommodating you were with everything – including keeping our date even though we couldn’t see the venue for some time.

You guys really have thought of everything at The Gardens at Bullimah! Every small detail is covered. The day ran so smoothly, from having a beautiful breakfast with my bridesmaids and family, to having my dress streamed and vases put out for the flowers. The little things really counted.

We have had so many compliments about how beautiful the venue is, you guys should be so proud of what you have created for couples like us.
